Kettering Cycling Club was formed in 2000, through the amalgamation of the town’s two long standing clubs Kettering Amateur CC and Kettering Friendly CC. The club has in the region of 100 members, of which one-third race regularly. The club is best noted for its time trialling, with an annual series held on numerous courses. Kettering CC also runs mountain bike, road and open time trial races.
We have a weekly club run over the winter period, meeting at 9.30am every Sunday morning outside Sainsbury’s petrol station on Rockingham Road.
The club now has gained ‘British Cycling’ Go-Ride status, where we run cycle sessions for youths from 5 to 16 years old, on an off road area. This scheme runs all kinds of exciting skills and techniques, aimed at developing a rider’s bike ability and confidence all in a safe environment.
The club itself has a broad range of riders, both young and old, male and female from the most dedicated cyclist through to leisure cyclists. If you want to know any more about KCC either contact us, or just turn up to one of our events.
